May 31st, 1999 -A historical day for the Bangladesh cricket team when they beat giant Pakistani cricket team by 62 runs on the 29th match of the 7th World Cup Cricket, 1999 in Norththampton, England.

Bangladeshi openers Shahriar Hossain and Mehrab Hossain upsetting Waqar Younus.

Shahriar Hossain, Bangladeshi opener, who gave a fine starting to the Bangladesh innings. Made a 39 with five 4's. Openning partnership with his brother Mehrab Hossain, the partnership was 69, the highest openning partnership for Bangladesh in that time..........
Akram Khan attacking Pakistani pace bowler Azhar Mehmood. Akram Khan was the highest runmaker in the match with 42 runs (66 balls, six 4's)
Shahriar Hossain, Aminul Islam and Minhajul Abedin celebrating after Wasim Akram's dismissal. Shahriar took the catch while Minhajul was the bowler.
Fellow team members are praising Khaled Mahmud who was also judged to be the man of the match, taking 3 wickets (O:10 M:2 R:31 W:3) and added 27 runs for BD in the match. Khaled Mahmud took Shahid Afridi, Injamam-ul-Huq and Saleem Malik's wickets.
The first and vital wicket for Bangladesh. Sayeed Anwar is run out with a fine throw from Naimur Rahman and Khaled Masud didn't do any mistake to take the bells off on time.
